Both parties will “work together to provide value-added services in the field of mobile newspapers”. The two parties had been cooperating in the mobile newspaper space since 2009 and the service has more than 30 million registered readers, and is the largest mobile newspaper by circulation in the domestic market.
The news common service between both parties has high potentiel for development. Four days ago, China Unicom reported that the number of its 3G users increased to 30.23 million and its 2G users climbed to 159 million by the end of last month, reports 163.com, citing a company filing. By the end of September, China Unicom recorded that its fixed line users numbered 94.58 million while broadband users increased to 54.54 million.
